ANDERSON, SAND, CHARLSON

August A. Anderson, 90, longtime
resident of the Akron area,
died at home Friday night after a
long sickness.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m.
Monday at Union Creek Lutheran
Church northwest of Akron. Rev.
David Roy, pastor officiated.

Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
A prayer service was at 8:30
p.m. Sunday at the Lewison
Funeral home at Akron.

Mr. Anderson was born October
6, 1873 in Sweden and came to
America and Chicago in 1892. He
farmed in Union County, S. D.,
from 1908 to 1956 when he retired
to Akron.

He married Amelia Sand in 1896
in Chicago and she died in 1932.
He married Hilda Charlson at Le Mars,
Ia., in 1944.

Survivors include the widow, three
daughters, Mrs. Esther Schniderheinze
of Sioux City, Mrs. Hilda Johnston of
South Sioux City and Mrs. Violet Johnston
of Akron; a step-daughter Mrs. Helen Recek
of, Le Mars; four step-sons, Raymond
Charlson of Quantico, Va., and Elmer
and Ernest Charlson, both of Le Mars;
three grand children and three great-
grandchildren.
