ROBERT TOTMAN
LE MARS, Iowa—Robert Totman, 81, of LeMars, died Tuesday in a hospital in LeMars.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church in LeMars. The Rev. Gordon Rhodes will officiate. Burial will be in the LeMars Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.
Mr. Totman was born July 18, 1903, in Quimby. He married Constance Collins June 12, 1928. She died in 1951. He married Edna Warner Rippey May 16, 1959, at Mesa, Ariz. She died in 1970. He was a foreman at the Gus Pech Foundry in LeMars and later worked in the Plymouth County Engineer’s office. He played in area dance bands for 60 years.
Mr. Totman was a member of the First Baptist Church in LeMars, Izaak Walton League, Sioux City Organ Club and a charter member of the Musicians Union.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Carol Molison of Grinnell; a step-daughter, Mrs. Lee (Sallee) Jepsen of Fort Dodge; one sister, Dorothy Conley of Quimby; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two step-grandchildren.
