AGRI-BUSINESSMAN, CARL MARCUE,
DEAD AT 93

Carl R. Marcue, 93, retired businessman, died Tuesday evening at Floyd Valley Hospital, LeMars. He was taken by ambulance from Plymouth Manor Care Center where he had made his home for two weeks.

Funeral arrangements are pending by the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home, in LeMars.

Mr. Marcue was area Farmers Home Administration supervisor for 25 years beginning in the late 1930s with an office in the Plymouth County courthouse and later downtown.

Prior to that he farmed near LeMars for 22 years. Until his retirement three years ago, Carl was farm representative for 22 years at LeMars Savings Bank.

He was confined to a wheelchair the last years of his life and continued to live in his own home along after the death of his wife. Survivors include a son, Bruce, of Sioux City.
