JOHN MILLER

John Miller, 98, of LeMars, died Saturday (July 7, 1984) at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars after a brief illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Catholic Church in LeMars. Rev. George McFadden will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The wake service will be at 8 p.m. Monday at the Luedtke-Fuerstein Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mr. Miller was born May 1, 1886, in Johnson Township, Plymouth County. He married Maggie Russell Oct. 26, 1915, at Ellendale near Merrill. She preceded him in death in 1973. He farmed in the LeMars area until 1951 when he retired and moved into town.

Survivors are one son, Francis of rural LeMars; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Agnes) Utecht of LeMars and Mrs. Lowell (Margaret) Utesch of Worthington, Minn.; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Mike Miller.
