Hawarden, Iowa - Martha S. Ludwigs, 88, of Hawarden died Monday, May 1, 1995, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Hawarden.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron with the Rev. Allen Bidne officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. today with the family present 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.
Mrs. Ludwigs was born October 3, 1906, in Fehmarn, Germany, the daughter of Gustav and Christina (Mangelson) Beeck. She married Henry Ludwigs October 3, 1928 in Chatsworth. She worked 13 years at Coil Craft in Hawarden. Mr. Ludwigs died in 1982. She enjoyed flowers and crocheting.
Mrs. Ludwigs was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Darlene and Richard Burley of Braham, Minnesota, and Eunice and Lester Vetos of Cambridge, Minnesota, three sons and their wives, Lawrence and Leona of Hawarden, Les and Marcene of Ireton and Lowell and Jan of Cambridge; 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary Plueger of Akron and a brother, Alfred Beeck of Le Mars.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Wayne John, three sisters, Freda, Anna and Clara and a brother, Henry
