Frank Caskey Dies at Age 39
Funeral services for Freeman Caskey, 39, of Sioux City, brother of Mrs. Olive Peck of Hawarden who died from a heart attack when stricken in an elevator of a downtown business building there Monday(March 2, 1964), will be held at 1 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday) at the Rutledge Funeral home in Sioux City.
Another service will be held at 2:30 this afternoon at Westside Church of Christ in Akron with Rev. Dean R. Orris officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery at Akron.
The American Legion at Akron will conduct military rites and members of Riverside lodge 662, A.F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic rites at the cemetery.
Mr. Caskey was born March 27, 1924, on a farm near Westfield, Iowa. He was a veteran of World War II.
In 1944 he went to Sioux City where he married Vila Hughes in 1945. He was business agent for Iron Workers union 184.
Survivors include the widow: three daughters, Vida, Trudy and Cherri, all at home; his parents, Mr.and Mrs. Charles Caskey of Akron; four brothers, Harold of Elk Point, Eldon of Sioux City, Charles, Jr., and Darrell, both of Akron; four sisters, Mrs. Peck of Hawarden, Mrs. Myrtle Talbot of Elk Point, Mrs. Anna Belle Harkness and Mrs. Bernice Hughes, both of Sioux City
