Dale K. Pederson, 66, of Le Mars, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1993, at a Sioux City hospital.

Mr. Pederson was born July 5, 1927, at Arlington, S.D., the son of Martin and Anna (Oines) Pederson. He married Jean Erickson in 1945. He married Margaret Buckley in December 1961. He worked as a journeyman electrician for many years and was a commercial and industrial electrician on many large projects throughout the United States, retiring in 1971.

Mr. Pederson served in the U.S. Navy from May 1945 to May 1946. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Eagles Lodge and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 231 at Sioux City.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; his children,, Dale K. Pederson Jr. of Brewster, Minn., Larry Pederson and Thomas Pederson of Brookings, S.D., Debbie Benson of Minneapolis, Wendi Witthoeft of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Jackie Barten of Iowa City; step-children Richard Williams of Seney, Marlene Feekes of Peterson, Rita Malloy of Aiken, S.C., and Robert Buckley of Houston, Texas; 17 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; his mother, Anna Pederson of Brookings and a sister Lois Peterson of Brookings.

He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Pederson, and a son, Tony Pederson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars with Rev. David Kramer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, Le Mars, with military graveside rites conducted by the Merrill American Legion. Visitation is after 3 p.m. today (Monday) with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
