JOE BOHLKE DIED SUDDENLY THURSDAY

Funeral services for Joseph B. Bohlke, 59, of near Kingsley, Ia., who died suddenly at his home Thursday, were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mauer funeral home. Rev. James Ransom officiated and burial was in the LeMars city cemetery.

Bob Bleil, neighbor heard the cattle at the nearby Bohlke farm Thursday evening and went to the farm to investigate. He had not seen Mr. Bohlke that day. He was in bed and asked him if he wanted a doctor. He replied that he would like a cup of tea. Mr. Bleil went to make the tea and found Mr. Bohlke dead when he returned.

Mr. Bohlke was born February 17, 1900, at Remsen, Ia. He was a lifelong resident of Plymouth county. He married Meta Milfs on May 18, 1921, at Sioux City. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George Lautares of Greenville, N.C. and Miss Janette Bohlke of Ida Grove, Ia.; a sister and eight brothers.
