AUGUST KRAUSE DIED FRIDAY
August F. Kruase, 74, of Leeds, and long time resident of Lincoln Township in Plymouth County, died Friday night in a Sioux City hospital after an illness of a month.
Mr. Krause was born April 17, 1876, in Germany and had resided in this vicinity most of his life where he farmed for many years.
Mr. Krause married Emma Dettman at Hinton in 1900. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church at Leeds.
Survivors include the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Sanders of Oakland, Cal., Mrs. Viola Freed, Mrs. Edna Shaw and Mrs. Hilda Little, all of Sioux City; three sons, Clarence of Hinton, and Lawrence and Fred, both of Kingsley; a brother, William, of Lawton; a sister, Anna of Lawton; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 Monday afternoon at the home and at 2 o’clock at Calvary Lutheran Church. Rev. E.C. Zschoche officiated and burial was in the Lincoln Township Cemetery.
Six grandsons were pallbearers, Donald, Dwaine, Darrell and Larry Krause, Eugene Freed and Ray Sanders.
