Funeral services for Theodore Lorensen. 61, a laborer who died Friday at Sacred Heart hospital at Le Mars, were at 2 p.m. Monday at Emanuel Lutheran church at Akron.
Rev. David Roy officiated and burial was in Riverside cemetery under direction of the Rossnow funeral home.
Mr. Lorensen was born July 5. 1897, in Union county, South Dakota.Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. William Young of Peoria, Ill.; two sons, Leslie and Orville, both of Akron: two brothers, William of Akron and Hans of Sioux City and four grandchildren.

Rites Held Monday For Lifelong Resident Of This Community
Theodore Lorensen, who farmed for a number of years southeast of Akron, passed away last Friday, November 28, 1958, at 4:00 p.m., in the Sacred Heart Hospital at Le Mars, Iowa. He was 62 years, 5 months, and 23 days of age. Mr. Lorensen had been a patient in the University Hospital at Iowa City for more than a year.
Mr. Lorensen was born July 5, 1896, in Union County near Alcester, S. D.He was baptized as a child and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1933. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles and Fred.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Young of Peoria, Illinois; two sons,Leslie and Orville,both of Akron; two brothers, William, of Akron and Hans of Sioux City and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Immanuel Lutheran church, Rev. David J. Roy officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Taylor sang and Mrs. H. Shoulberg was organist. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
