MRS. HARLEY BUTLER
Mrs. Harley Butler, who for the past four years has made her home with her son, W. Clay Butler in Ukiah, California, passed away Sunday, February 14, 1954, there. She was 78 years of age.
Gertrude Randall was born September 9, 1875, at Pomeroy, Iowa, and came to the LeMars community from there. She made her home in LeMars until four years ago. On April 12, 1894, she was united in marriage with Harley J. Butler in LeMars. Mr. Butler preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 20, at 2:00 p.m. at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home. Rev. James Ransom will officiate and burial will be in the city cemetery.
Remains will arrive in LeMars at noon Friday and friends may call at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home Friday evening and until service time on Saturday.
Survivors include one son, W. Clay of Ukiah, California; three granddaughters and 3 grandsons; and one great-grandson; a sister, Mrs. George (Sadie) Butler of Sacramento, California.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by a daughter, Fern, in infancy and a brother and a sister.
