THOMAS PATRICK

Thomas F. Patrick, Brookings, South Dakota, passed away on March 9, 1959, at an Omaha hospital following a four month sickness. He was born to John Patrick and Mary Mullart on July 28, 1871, at Dubuque, Iowa. He came to N.W. Iowa with his parents when he was ten years old, settling near Hawarden.

Mr. Patrick was married to Mabel Lemon on December 13, 1899, at LeMars. They farmed in the vicinity of LeMars and Hawarden until 1907, when they moved to Colorado, where they farmed for two years, moving then to Highmore, S. Dakota for 4 years and then moved to Hartford, S. Dakota for four years and moved to Brookings where he has since resided.

Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Hazel Finley, of Verdi, Minnesota; Mrs. Mabel Lane, Villisca, Iowa; Mrs. Florence Wystock, Bellevue, Iowa; Mrs. Alice Barstad, Webb, Iowa; a son, Stanley Patrick of White, South Dakota; and a sister, Mrs. Lucia Niehaus of Hawarden. He has a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Irene Patrick of White, and several nieces and nephews; 21 grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, a sister and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, LeMars, with Rev. Alverne Kinrade officiating. Burial will be in the city cemetery under direction of the Luken Funeral Home.

Six grandsons will act as pallbearers.
