PLACE OF BIRTH: Brunsville, Iowa
PARENTS: Henry Jacob and Katherine Marie (Johlfs) Harms
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 1st MARRIAGE: Gordon L. Mennen, March 6, 1943, at Thorndike Hilton Chapel at the University of Chicago.
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 2nd MARRIAGE:
OCCUPATION: ..graduated from the University of Iowa in 1939 with a business degree. She then worked for Equitable of Iowa in Des Moines. She worked during World War II in Seattle and in 1947, the coupled established a residence in LeMars. She performed volunteer work in the community and for Iowa Public Television. In later years, she was involved with the Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp.
SURVIVORS: …include her husband; three sons, Christopher of Sheldon, James of New York City, and Gary of LeMars; two daughters and their husbands, Diane and Dr. John Maresh of Long Lake, Minn., and Mary Sue and Dr. Stephen Moore of Monument, Colo.; six grandchildren; a brother, Harold and his wife, Deloris Harms of Brunsville; a sister, Harriette Nedell of Denver, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
