Kenneth R. MacKinnon, 84, formerly of Akron, died Friday, Nov. 26, at Hot Springs, S.D., after a long illness.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Plymouth Presbyterian church, rural Akron, with Rev. James F. Offrink officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home.

He was born June 29, 1888, in LeMars. He farmed most of his life.

Mr. MacKinnon was a Word War I veteran who served in Europe. He was discharged in 1919.

Survivors are a sister, Maude MacKinnon of LeMars, and a brother, Sterling, of LeMars.
