KATY, Texas -- Lois Emma Rupp, 86, of Katy, Texas, died at the Cinco Ranch Alzheimer's Specialty Care Center on July 13, 2008, of natural causes.

She was born June 28,1922, in Woodbury County, Iowa, the daughter of Ellis and Iva Smith Oregon. She married William J. "Duke" Huckle on Feb. 27, 1946, in Le Mars. She married Lee Ledbetter on Sept. 21, 1968, in Omaha, Neb. She married Sylvester Rupp on Oct. 25, 1985, in Primghar.

Survivors include her children, Catherine Harper of Surprise, Ariz., Jim "Duke" and Lucy Huckle of Virginia Beach, Va., Gloria and Bob Brown of Ankeny, and Laurie and Greg Lippert of Katy, Texas; six grandchildren, Baruch and Elizabeth Reusch of West Lafayette, Ind., David and Heather Huckle of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Christina and Marty Kernutt of Virginia Beach, Va., Adrian Brown of Chicago, Ill., Nigel Brown of Ankeny, and Sophia Lippert of Katy, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Emma and Sarah Reusch of West Lafayette, Ind.: her sister Marjorie Andersen, of Gilmore City; her brother Guy Oregon of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.

Her husbands, her parents, her brother Lawrence Oregon and granddaughter Victoria Lippert preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Plymouth Street Northeast in Le Mars.

Memorials may be directed to the family to be forwarded to an Alzheimer's charity.
