PLACE of DEATH: at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in LeMars, Iowa
DATE of BIRTH: April 13, 1904
PLACE of BIRTH: Remsen, Iowa
PARENTS: son of George and Augusta (Earnest) Kramer
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: Wilma Gunsell, of Kanawha, Iowa, June 20, 1929
PLACE OF MARRIAGE: at Stillwater, Minnesota
OCCUPATION: He worked for Barney Baron of Sioux City as meat cutter for four years while he attended college. He was a traveling salesman for awhile with the New Home Sewing Machine Company. He took over ownership of Kramer’s Market, which his grandfather had started in 1887. Cyril retired in 1966. After his retirement he worked approximately five years for Rhodes Greenhouse in Cherokee, Iowa, managing the Garden Shop for six weeks during the spring season.
SURVIVORS: include two daughters and their husbands, Carol and Kenneth Johnson of Forest City, Iowa, and Nancy and Dr. Michael Graham of Portland, Ore.; a son, Kay and his wife, State Sen. Mary Kramer, of West Des Moines; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Velma Kramer, of Reno, Nev.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: a brother, Melvin Kramer
PLACE of BURIAL: Remsen City Cemetery, Remsen, Iowa
