DATE of DEATH: Thursday, March 2, 2000
PLACE of DEATH: at a Sioux Center hospital
DATE of BIRTH: Sept. 17, 1925
PLACE of BIRTH: on a farm near Remsen/Marcus area
PARENTS: daughter of George and Margaret (Wendt) Herrmann of LeMars, Iowa
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: 1st: Kenneth E. Kempers, Dec. 14, 1944, in LeMars. He died March 8, 1983.
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: 2nd: William “Bill” Korver, Nov. 9, 1985, in Sioux City.
OCCUPATION: She worked for Wellers Fishing Tackle Company for 12 years and as a bookkeeper for a total of 35 years for Kenny’s Conoco, Kenny’s Standard and Kenny’s Amoco.
SURVIVORS: include her husband; five sons and their wives, Gene and Linda Kempers of Ankeny, Iowa, Jim and Bonnie Kempers of Dakota City, Keith and Patty Kempers and Dwayne and Jodi Kempers, all of Sioux City, and Bob and Diane and Terry Eanes of Phoenix and Kathy and Rick Saunders of Sioux City; two step sons and their wives, Gary and Dorothy Korver of Phoenix, and William and Arla Korver of Alton, Iowa; three step daughters and their husbands, Gloria and Louis Wierda of Sioux City, Elaine and Dennis Dekker of Sioux Center, Iowa, and Karen and Dave Hulsart of Orange City, Iowa; 24 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; and a sister and her husband, Regine “Jean” and Reinard Dreckman of LeMars, Iowa.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: a brother, John Herrmann; a sister, Etta Herrmann; and a great granddaughter, Abigail Wiskus
