LUCILLA PEREBOOM
Mrs. Hy (Lucilla) Pereboom, who resided at 309 Central Ave. S.W., in LeMars, passed away Friday, March 9, 1956, at the Lutheran hospital in Sioux City following a six month hospitalization.
Lucilla Luikens was born December 2, 1900, at LeMars and was a resident of LeMars her entire life. She attended the LeMars schools and was graduated from high school in the Class of 1920.
She was united in marriage with H.W. Pereboom on November 28, 1927 at LeMars.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 12, 1956, at St. John's American Lutheran Church with Rev. J.J. Belk officiating. Burial was in the city cemetery under the direction of Luken’s funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Henry; one daughter, Mrs. W.S. McCormick of LeMars; one son, Melvin, of North Hollywood, Calif.; her mother, Mrs. Jennie Luikens of LeMars; a twin sister, Mrs. Florence Gellerman, of LeMars; a sister, Mrs. Genevive Rupp, of Marshall, Minn.; a brother, Charles Luikens of Laurel, Neb.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Henry Brabander, Walter Dominick, Alvin Becker, John Grothaus, Wally Lutjens and Ben Riegel.
