PARENTS: son of Floyd and Minnie (Parker) Hemmelman
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: Jane Johnson on Dec. 9, 1951
PLACE OF MARRIAGE: Clear Lake, S.D.
OCCUPATION: He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a farmhand for Kenneth Brown until 1963. He then owned and operated a trucking and cornshelling business. He retired in 1991 and lived in the Ridgewood Apartments in Akron before moving to the Akron Care Center in 1994.
SURVIVORS: include four sons; eight grandchildren; a brother, Harvey of Crete, Neb.; and two sisters and their husbands, Carol and Clint Stickle of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Lorraine and Nels Mattson of Virginia, Minn.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: his parents and three sisters in infancy.
