Patricia Kilker, 55, of Aurora, Colo., and formerly of Le Mars, died unexpectedly at her residence Wednesday, June 25, 2008, from an apparent brain aneurysm.
Patricia Ann Kilker was born Aug. 3, 1952, at Le Mars, the daughter of Leonard and Lorraine (Pletschette) Kilker. She grew up in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1971. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Denver, Colo., and worked various jobs while attending night school earning her degree as a respiratory therapist. She then worked with various medical institutions in Denver for several years. For the last 19 years she was employed as a respiratory therapist with Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Denver.
Her compassion and dedication were recognized by all of her colleagues in the medical profession. Pat was very well loved and cared for by her friends in Colorado.
Her hobbies consisted of crocheting, puzzles and attending Colorado Rockies baseball games.
Survivors include her mother Lorraine Kilker of Le Mars; four brothers: Daniel Kilker of Livermore, Colo., David Kilker of Le Mars, Timothy Kilker and his wife Christi of Le Mars and Richard Kilker of Denver, Colo.; a niece Angela Kilker and a nephew Jason Kilker, both of Omaha.
She was preceded in death by her father Leonard Kilker on April 7, 2006; a sister Mary Kilker in infancy; and a brother Thomas Kilker.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday July 8, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars with the Rev. Kevin Richter officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
The Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars is in charge of arrangements.
