OCCUPATION: He had lived in Cherokee since 1958, prior that he lived in California for two years and Remsen for 45 years. He farmed near Remsen and also worked for Lundell’s Manufacturing, retiring in 1980.
SURVIVORS: include two sons and their wives, Alfred Jr. and Judy of Marcus, Iowa, and Ron R. and Doris, of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Jana Gettner and Frances Gettner, both of Remsen.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: His wife died Aug. 5, 1985. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Elmer and Raymond.
