OCCUPATION: He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a resident of Mitchell and Lake Andes, S.D., area for many years. He was employed as an insurance agent and owned and operated his own garage. He also served as mayor of Lake Andes for three terms. He moved to the Sioux City and Hinton area 12 years ago. He most recently owned and operated Gil Gau Trucking.
SURVIVORS: include his wife; five daughters; two sons; four sisters; and 14 grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: his parents and three sisters, Genevieve Pulse and two in infancy.
