Mrs. Jack Wiltman

Mrs. Jack Wiltman, 76, Le Mars, died Friday (Jan. 14, 1983) at her home after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s American Lutheran Church with Rev. William Striepe and Rev. Tom Lee officiating. Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery.

A prayer service will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Johnson-Luken Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wiltman, the former Amanda Woldt, was born Feb. 15, 1906, in Lincoln Township, Plymouth County, to Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Ernestine Roepke) Woldt. She married Jack Wiltman Jan. 4, 1926, at Elk Point, S.D. He died Jan. 5, 1977.

She was a lifelong Plymouth County resident except for a short time when she lived at Paullina and Minneapolis. Mrs. Wiltman was a homemaker and was employed at the Plymouth County Home for several years.

She was a member of St. John’s American Lutheran Church, Pioneer Machinery Club of Merrill and Prairie Village, Madison, S.D.

Mrs. Wiltman was preceded in death by her husband, a son Wendell on July 20, 1979, a daughter Muriel Mae in infancy, a grandson Mark Miller, four sisters and a granddaughter.

Survivors are a son Darrell of Sheldon, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Mur Lou Miller and Mrs. Cecil (Marlene) Staebell, both of Le Mars; 24 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
