Mrs. Tucker, 76, Dies at Her Home

Mrs. Elizabeth Tucker, 76, a LeMars resident 69 years, died Monday at her home here after an illness of several months.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at St. John's American Lutheran church. Burial was in LeMars city cemetery under the direction of the Luken funeral home.

Mrs. Tucker was born April 25, 1877, at Sterling, Ill. She came to Plymouth county with her parents when she was 7 years old in 1882. She had resided here since.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Florence Singer of Merrill, Ia., Mrs. Vera Hoskins of Lone Tree, Ia., and Mrs. Viola Acrea of Missouri Valley, Ia.; two brothers, Menno and Martin Mammen, both of San Francisco and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister, Henry, John and Anna.

(Note--Elizabeth's husband is not mentioned by name in her obit. She was married to John Wiley Tucker on 23 Aug 1898. He died 3 Apr 1934.)
