Mrs. Joseph Easton, 84, former Merrill resident died Wednesday at Elma, Washington, where she made her home the past few years.

She was born January 26, 1872, on the Isle of Mann, England. She came with her parents to Plymouth County as an infant. She lived in the county until 1931 when she and her husband moved to British Columbia. Her husband passed away last October.

Survivors include three sons, Elvin of Elma, Washington; Roger of Westfield; and James of Merrill; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Howes of Elma, Washington; Mrs. James Tucker of Hoquiam, Washington; Mrs. William Schneider of Akron; and Mrs. Eldon Lake of Merrill.

Funeral services will be today, (Monday) at 2:00 p.m. at the First Methodist church in Merrill. Rev. Marlin Whitmer officiated. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery, Merrill. Pallbearers were Milton Schneider, Donald Lake, Stanley Lalf, Richard Anderson, Joseph Easton, and Darrell Easton.
