Many Attend Services For William E. Dennler

Casketbearers at the funeral Thursday, Feb. 12, for William E. Dennler, 81, were Gordon Brodie, Ronald Thompson, Ray Weinheimer, Fletcher West, Warren Hauff, and Bill Hemphill. Rev. S.G. Hawhee conduced the services. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery here.

Mr. Dennler was born January 1, 1878, on a farm near Merrill. He was married to Clara A. Mauer June 19, 1907, at LeMars.

He operated a general store in Merrill from 1901 until his retirement in 1946.

Survivors are the widow; two sons, Howard of Fairfield, Conn.; Richard of Merrill; two daughters, Leola of Merrill and Mrs. Marian Miller of Whittier, Calif.; one brother, George of Sioux City; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wright of St. Louis, Mrs. Josephine Browning of McAllen, Texas, Mrs. Alice Ruedy of Merrill and Mrs. Clara Hoss of LeMars; and six grandchildren.
