MRS. C. MORRIS
DIES, RITES FRIDAY
FOR COUNTY NATIVE

Mrs. Clarence Morris, lifelong resident of Plymouth county, died suddenly at her home in Washington township Dec. 2, 1952. Her death was due to a severe attack of asthma from which she had been suffering for many years.

Meta Katherine Morris, daughter of the late Julius C. Peterson and Maria Clemens Peterson, was born July 7, 1895, on Island Fohr, Germany. She was baptized in infancy in the Lutheran faith, always being a sincere Christian. At the time of her death she was 57 years, 4 months, 25 days of age. She was united in marriage to Clarence C. Morris Sept. 7, 1922.

Her unexpected death came as a shock to her many friends in the community where she had spent her entire life and where her friendly neighborliness will be missed.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Marjorie (Mrs. Ted Hoffman), one sister, Mary (Mrs. Peter Von Hagel), two grandchildren, David and Dianna Hoffman, an aunt, Mrs. Eva Hansen, of Houghton, S.D. Also many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 5, 1952, at 1:30 at the home in Washington township; 2:00 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Johnson township. Rev. Gustav Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Merrill city cemetery.

Mauer’s funeral home is in charge of the services.
