CHRIS JENSEN, SR.

Chris Jensen, Sr., died at his home at Seney today, May 28, 1959, after a sickness which lasted one year.

Mr. Jensen was born June 12, 1883, in Copenhagen, Denmark and was a retired farmer. He lived in the Westfield vicinity in Plymouth county until moving to Seney two years ago. He married Laura Hartman on October 3, 1949, in Sioux City.

Funeral services will be held at the Mauer Funeral Home in LeMars on Sunday, May 31, at 2 p.m. with burial in the LeMars City Cemetery. Rev. E.P. Merz of Sioux City will officiate.

Survivors include the widow; children, Marie Daubenspeck of Vancouver, Washington; Karen Kristensen in Denmark, and Chris Jensen, of Jefferson, South Dakota, and Martin Jensen of Murdock, Minnesota; three step daughters, Mrs. Gladys Francisco of Hubbard, Nebraska; Mrs. Elma Prucker of Waterbury, Nebraska; Mrs. Luella Vondrak of Hinton; two step sons, Ewing Shannon of Akron; Walter Shannon of Laughton; four grandchildren; five step grandchildren; a brother and two sisters in Denmark.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen.

Friends may call at the Mauer funeral home anytime after 1 p.m. Saturday, Decoration Day.
