FUNERAL TUESDAY

Mrs. Laura Ellen Baldwin, 67, of Sioux City, died Saturday at St. Vincent Hospital, Sioux City, after an illness of three days.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Luken’s funeral home here. Rev. Gale Hawhee of the Merrill Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in the Merrill Hillside Cemetery.

Laura Betsworth was born May 2, 1896, at Merrill, the daughter of Edgar and Eva Hoover Betsworth. Her marriage to Roy Baldwin took place in 1932, at Dakota City, Neb.

Mrs. Baldwin had lived in Merrill and LeMars before moving to Sioux City.

Surviving are her husband, Roy, and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Brown and Mrs. Everett Simon, both of LeMars.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Pete Bock, Jack Grosenhieder, J.W. Strause, Leo Dominick, Ray Peterson, and Charles Frerichs.
