DIES AFTER LONG
ILLNESS HEREFuneral services for Anna Katherine Braune, 75, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, in St. John's American Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. E. E. Jacobs will officiate and burial will be in the Merrill city cemetery with Mauer’s funeral home in charge.
Mrs. Braune died Sunday, June 3, at Sacred Heart hospital where she had spent the past 22 months receiving medical care. She was born Sept. 27, 1875, in Grant township and lived her entire life in Plymouth county.
Her home was with her parents, Ben and Katherine Gehlmas Pecks in Grant township until her marriage to William Braune, April 6, 1899, in her parents home.
The couple moved to a farm near Adaville for two years. The Braunes later moved to a farm in Washington township near Merrill where they farmed the past 48 years. She was a member of St. John's church in Merrill.
Survivors are her husband, William, of Merrill; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Amelia) Jebsen also of Merrill and a brother, Bernard Pecks of Grant township.
Mrs. Braune was preceded in death by her parents, a son, John, and two brothers.
