RICHARD W. LEWISON

Richard William Lewison, 58, of Akron died Wednesday (Oct. 31, 1984) in a nursing home in Sioux City after a long illness.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron. Rev. Benard Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with graveside services conducted by Hoschler Post 186, American Legion of Akron.

A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Schroeder Funeral Home.

Mr. Lewison was born Dec. 6, 1925, at Akron and graduated from Akron High School in 1943. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific. He married Lavina Chamber Oct. 3, 1952, at Luverne, Minn. They lived in the Akron area their entire married life where he was a plumber for many years.

Survivors are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Cathy Held of Bentonville, Ark., Carol and Mrs. Mark (Claudia) Rasmussen, both of Akron, Mrs. Keith (Cheryl) Krause of LeMars, and Cynthia of Sioux Falls; one son, Rick of Akron; his mother, Mrs. Curtis Lewis, Sr.., of Akron; one brother Curtis Jr., of Akron; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Olsen, of Denver, Colo., and Betty Heyl of Akron; and eight grandchildren.
