JOHN W. BULTMAN

AKRON, Iowa --- John W. Bultman, 78, of Akron, died Tuesday, April 9, 1996, at the Akron Convalescent Care Center after a long illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron with the Rev. William Flemr officiating. Burial will be Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m. at the Schroeder Funeral Home, Akron.

Mr. Bultman was born Aug. 21, 1917, in Hawarden, the son of John G. and Hattie (Van Wyhe) Bultman.

He married Melba Muth March 9, 1940, in Ireton. The couple farmed from 1940 until retirement in 1976, when they moved to Akron.

Mr. Bultman was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son Dennis Bultman and his wife, Ruth of Chatsworth; three grandchildren, Jennifer, JoAnna and Jeffery Bultman; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Johanna) Huebner of Hawarden and Mrs. Donald (Blanche) Boetger of Akron, and a sister-in-law, Amanda Bultman of Akron.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George.
