ANNA BORCHERS

Anna Johanna Borchers, 97, a LeMars native and lifelong resident, died Wednesday (March 15, 1989) at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in LeMars.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Johnson Township, rural Merrill. Rev. Kevin Frey will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born March 14, 1892, at rural LeMars to Behrend and Pauline Becker Borchers. She was a seamstress and homemaker.

Miss Borchers was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Surviving is a sister, Margaret Peters of LeMars, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Herman and George and a sister, Katherine.
