TAKEN BY DEATHMany relatives and friends mourn the loss of a real friend in the passing of Mrs. Charles Dennler. She had been in poor health for several months, but death came suddenly at about 2:30 o’clock Thursday morning, Nov. 5, caused by heart trouble.
Mrs. Albina Mathilda Dennler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Spies, was born May 3, 1888, in Plymouth county and passed away November 5, 1936, at the age of 48 years, six months and two days.
On January 6, 1915, she was united in marriage with Charles Dennler, who survives her. Besides her bereaved husband, she leaves to mourn her death, two children, Dorothy and Robert, her mother, and six brothers and sisters, William and Milton Spies, of Merrill, Philip and Fred Spies and Mrs. Esther Schindel of Hinton, and Mrs. Carrie Koenig, of Pomona, Cal., and many other relatives and friends.
In her early girlhood, at the age of 12 she united with the Melbourne Evangelical church and has been a faithful worker. At the time of her death, she was a member of the board of stewards of the church, a teacher in the Sunday school and vice president of the Womans Missionary Society. She was interested in all things that were good for the community. She was a devoted wife and mother, lover her home, was a good, kind neighbor and friend and loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services were conducted in the Melbourne Evangelical church in charge of the pastor, Rev. Karl Kaupp. Rev. L.J.U. Smay, of Correctionville, and Rev. Howdeshell, of Sioux City, assisted in the services. Burial was made in the Merrill cemetery.
