Glenn Gabel
Glen Gabel, 57, Akron businessman, died Thursday morning at Sioux City St. Vincent hospital after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Akron Trinity Lutheran church with Rev. Durwood Clauson officiating. Burial will be in the Plymouth Presbyterian church cemetery, rural LeMars, under the direction of the Schroeder funeral home, Akron.
A prayer service will beheld Friday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Gabel was born May 18, 1913, at rural Akron, a son of the late James Arthur and Anna Strader Gabel.
He Married Rena Siebens Aug. 24, 1938, at Akron. He operated the Gabel Insurance agency at Akron since retiring from farming in the LeMars and Akron areas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gene.
Survivors are his wife Rena; a son, Rev. David Gabel of Massillon, Ohio; a brother, James of rural Akron; a sister, Mrs. Lois Spinkelink of Buena Park, Calif., and a granddaughter.
