HARLEN ROWE DEAD AT 75;
FUNERAL SERVICES FRIDAY

Funeral services for Harlen Rowe, 75, who resided his entire life at rural LeMars, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Plymouth Presbyterian church, rural LeMars.

A Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Dr. Howard Marty will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Mauer funeral home.

Mr. Rowe died Wednesday (April 16, 1975) at Floyd Valley hospital in LeMars after an extended illness.

He was born Feb. 4, 1900, a son of Charles and Hilda Erickson Rowe at rural LeMars. At the present time he was semi-retired.

His marriage to Ethel Gable took place Dec. 31, 1924, in LeMars. The coupled farmed.

He was a member of the Masonic Giblem lodge and served on the farm service board for nine years. He was active in all church affairs at Plymouth Presbyterian church.

Survivors are his wife, Ethel; a son Dean of rural LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. William (Shirley) Timmins, rural LeMars; three grandchildren, Sharon Rowe, Steve Rowe and Rebecca Timmins; a brother, Foster, LeMars; two sisters; Mrs. Edythe Eilks, LeMars and Mrs. Ethel Brown, rural Merrill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mrs. Earl (Mabel) Love.
