Deceased Has Been Resident Here Since 1885
Funeral Held Monday From Adaville U. B. Church
Mrs. Isabella A. Dry, a resident of this vicinity since 1885, died at her home on the Perry Creek at 9:45 a.m. February 28, 1935. She was 64 years, 2 months and 16 days of age at the demise.
Isabella Alice, oldest daughter of Robert and Margaret Taylor, was born December 12, 1870 at Lancaster, Wisconsin. In 1883 the family moved to Georgetown, Wis. and two years later came to Plymouth County, Iowa and settled near Merrill.
At the age of 14 years she was united with the United Brethren Church of Adaville.
On August 24, 1898 she was united in marriage with Chas. L. Dry of Palestine, Ill. To this union eight children were born, five sons and three daughters. Two sons preceded her in death.
Surviving her are Mrs. Ruth Frantz and Kenneth J. of Palestine, Ill; Leonard D. of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Hannah Leuer of Chicago, Ill., and George I. and Edna of Merrill, also one brother, J. Irwin Taylor and two sisters, Mrs. George Gabel of Merrill and Mrs. Frank Gabel of LeMars, and three grandchildren besides other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 1:15 from the home and at 2 o'clock from the Adaville United Brethren Church, Rev. N. A. Hollingshead officiating. Nephews acted as pallbearers.
