Harry Burgard
Harry Burgard, 76, LeMars, died unexpectedly Thursday night at Floyd Valley hospital.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Plymouth Presbyterian church. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home, LeMars.
Mr. Burgard was born Feb. 9, 1896 at Avalon, Mo. He came to LeMars as a young man and in October of 1919 was married to Anne Robertson of this area.
He was in the automotive repair business in LeMars until moving to Santa Monica, Calif., in 1942.
In 1964 he returned to LeMars where he as since resided.
He was a veteran of world war 1, a member of the American Legion, world war 1 barracks 1507 and the Elks.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Paul Dull of LeMars, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother Claude of Orange, Calif., and three sisters, Mrs. O. H. Hook and Mrs. D. H. Matthews both of Holt, Mo., and Mrs. Frank Vega of Gladstone, Mo.
