DEITERMANN RITES HELD HERE MONDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Deiterman, 61, who died at the Luverne hospital Friday following an illness of a year, were conducted Monday at St. Catherine’s church with Rt. Rev. Msgr. M. L. Doyle officiating.

Burial was in St. Catherine’s cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Peter Ackerman, Leonard Hagan, Joe Lamb, Otto Beelman, Jake Serie, and William Welch.

Mrs. Deiterman was born Anna Kirpes on Nov. 21, 1893, at Remsen, Iowa, and attended St. Mary’s school at Remsen. She was married to Henry Deiterman on Jan. 24, 1912, at St. Mary’s church, Remsen. She lived at Remsen for 31 years and eight years in Pipestone county, coming to Rock county in 1933 and to Luverne in 1946. Mrs. Deiterman was a member of St. Catherine’s church at Luverne.

Survivors are the widower; seven daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Valeria) Beelman, Mrs. Herbert (Esther) Ahrendt, Mrs. Charles (Junelia) Van Belle and Mrs. Allan (Lillian) Willers, all of Luverne; Mrs. Ray (Elnora) Hermann, of Pipestone; Mrs. Leonard (Martha) Steinhoff, of Magnolia; and Mrs. Burdell (Angeline) Willers, Beaver Creek; one son, Cyril, of Luverne; and 22 grandchildren. One son, Alvin, died in infancy.
