MRS. HARKER FUNERAL SERVICE HELD MONDAY

Mrs. Vincent (Eleanor) Harker, 80, longtime LeMars resident, died Friday (April 8, 1983) at Marion Health Center, Sioux City, after a long illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, LeMars. Rev. Leonard Root officiated and burial was in LeMars Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Mauer Funeral Home in LeMars.

Eleanor Joan Carlton was born Aug. 19, 1902, at Madison, S.D., to Kendal B. and Marie Raun Carlton. She was a retired school teacher, with teaching positions in the LeMars Public Schools and Union Consolidated School.

She married John Vincent Harker Dec. 1, 1923, at Marcus. He died in January 1969.

Mrs. Harker was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors are two sons, Jack Harker, LeMars, and Carlton Harker, Winston Salem, N.C.; five grandchildren, Susan Brunn, Vicki Harker, Jim Harker, Carla Harker, and Douglas Harker; a great grandson, Matthew Brunn; and a sister, Iline Carlton, Sioux Falls.
