LILLIAN BROWN DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS

Mrs. Lillian Mary Brown, 74, Merrill, lifelong Plymouth county resident, died Wednesday at St. Luke hospital, Sioux City, after a long illness. She had resided most of her life in the Adaville area.

Born March 14, 1894, in Plymouth county, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Rebecca Atkins Berger. Her marriage to Wesley Brown took place July 11, 1918, in Dakota City, Neb.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Adaville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley cemetery at Adaville under the direction of the Mauer Funeral Home. Rev. Clare Odell will officiate and a prayer service will be held Friday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home in LeMars.

Survivors are a son, Leonard Brown, Merrill and two brothers, William Berger, Marcus and George Berger, Sioux City, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1946 and a son, Dewey, in 1967; also by three sisters and a brother.
