MRS. CALVIN EYRES, 71, LONGTIME KINGSLEY AREA RESIDENT AND FORMER SCHOOL TEACHER DEAD

Mrs. Minerva Eyres, 71, longtime resident of the Kingsley vicinity, died Saturday afternoon at Sacred Heart hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Eyres was born Jan. 22, 1892 in Plymouth county. She was married to Calvin Eyres Aug. 22, 1920 in LeMars. With the exception of two years the couple resided in California, they lived in the Kingsley area all of their married lives. Mr. and Mrs. Eyres moved to Kingsley last year.

Mrs. Eyres formerly taught school in rural Plymouth county.

She was a lifelong member of the Union Township Presbyterian church.

Survivors include the widower, a daughter, Mrs. Darlene Stover and seven grandchildren, all of Kingsley.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Union township Presbyterian church with Rev. Earl Ferguson officiating. Burial was in the Kingsley cemetery.
