Mrs. Minnie Steele

Mrs. Minnie Steele, 91, died Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Phoenix, Ariz., after a short illness.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m. at Mauer funeral home. Burial will be in the LeMars city cemetery under direction of Mauer funeral home.

The former Wilhelmina Kohl was born June 24, 1878, at Minonk, Ill. The family moved to Union township, Plymouth county, shortly after her birth. She married George R. Steele Feb. 21, 1906. He died April 16, 1953. She moved to Phoenix with a daughter and family in 1955.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, Mary Kohn (sic--Kohl), Mrs. Richard (Katherine) Eyres, Elizabeth Kohl, Mrs. Ernest (Bertha) Eyres; two brothers, Henry and Conrad.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. James (Philobena) Oswald of Wall Lake.
