Mavis F. Sorgdrager

Orange City, Iowa --- Mavis F. Sorgdrager, 43, of Orange City, died Saturday in an Orange City hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in the First Christian Reform church. The Rev. Thomas C. Vanden Neuvel will officiate. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.

Mrs. Sorgdrager was born June 25, 1940, in LeMars. She was a secretary for many years for LeMars Mutual Insurance Co. prior to her retirement five years ago.

She was a member of the First Christian Reform Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Leon (Judy) DeJong, Barbara Sorgdrager and Donna Sorgdrager, all of Orange City; a son, Jerry, of Orange City, and a brother Marvin (Cooper) of Orange City.
