William Rees

William Rees, 83, of Le Mars died Wednesday (Dec. 4, 1985) at his home in LeMars.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars. Rev. Robert Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Mr. Rees was born April 1, 1902, at Quenemo, Kan., to Edward and Alice Barrett Rees. He came to LeMars as a youth and attended LeMars schools. He married Vivian Bell June 11, 1925, in LeMars. He was an auto mechanic.

Mr. Rees was a member of First United Methodist church.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Carolyn) Anderson of Minneapolis; a brother, Robert, of Sun City, Ariz.; and three sisters, Mrs. Roy (Edith) Chenhall, Mrs. Lloyd (Dorothy) Weidauer and Mrs. William (Lucile) Danbrink, all of LeMars. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and a brother.
