ROSABELLE LANCASTER

Le Mars, Iowa --- Rosabelle Lancaster, 97, of LeMars died Monday in a nursing home in LeMars.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the United Methodist Church in Seney. The Rev. Robert Robinson and David Clark will officiate. Burial will be in the Seney Cemetery. A prayer service will be at 8:30 p.m. today in Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mrs. Lancaster, the former Rosabelle Beattie, was born Jan. 19, 1889, at Graceville, Minn. She taught school for five years. She married M. J. “Mitt” Lancaster, Jan. 1, 1913, at Glenville, Minn. The couple farmed in the Seney area for many years. He died in 1967 and she moved to LeMars at that time.

Survivors include five sons, Edwin of Mount Kisco, N.Y.; Edgar of Orange City; George Leslie of Kansas City, Mo.; Bill and Bob, both of LeMars; two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Bonnie) Shaw of Clarkfield, Minn.; and Mrs. Ralph (Evelyn) Anderson of Aurora, Ill.; 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
