Note: He is buried in Riverside Cemetery. His wife's maiden name was Hansen.

RETIRED FARMER, 74, DIES AT VERMILLION

Vermillion, S. D. -- Special: Carl Jensen, 74-year-old retired farmer, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lillian Maude, near here.

Born in Denmark in 1861, he immigrated to this country in 1878, settling near Sergeant Bluff, Ia. He came to this community 10 years ago, but prior to that time had lived in the northern part of Clay county, where he engaged in farming.

His wife died in 1926.

Suvivors include four sons, Lendt of South Sioux City, Neb., Sarl (Carl)of Elkton, S. D., Glen of Twin Brooks and Jerry of Sioux City, and five daughters, Mrs. Stine Nelson, Vermillion, Mrs. Sarah Farrin, Sioux City, Mrs. Nellie Petetson, Lake Benton, Minn., Mrs. Mrs. Elsie Brown, Bushnell, S. D., and Mrs. Maude.
