Mrs. Margaret Bohlke Died Saturday At Her Home in Remsen

Mrs. Margaret Bohlke, 83, died at her home in Remsen Saturday, October 9, after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, October 12, 1948, at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Remsen. Msgr. M. A. Schemel conducted the serviced and interment was in the St. Mary cemetery. The body was at the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen until the church services.

Margaret Schultz Bohlke was born in Petersburg, Iowa, November 3, 1865, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schultz. She was married in Petersburg to Joseph B. Bohlke and they came to Plymouth county 63 years ago. She has lived near and in Remsen since that time.

She was a member of the Christian Mothers society.

The survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Bunkers, Remsen, nine sons, William of Granville, Aloysius, John and Martin, Remsen; Joseph, Kingsley; Fritz, Sioux City; Alphonse, Leeds, and Cletus and Edward of Le Mars; also three sisters. She was proceeded in death by her husband, a son Henry, a daughter Emma, one sister and two brothers.
