Note: His may list his year of death at 1933. But he actually died in 1934. Buried in Pleasant Valley in Adaville.

WILLIAM WARDEN DIES HERE THURS.

Former Nebraska Sheriff Buried At Adaville Saturday

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon with Rev. Hollingshead officiating, from the United Brethren church at Adaville for William H. Warden who died at his home in Le Mars Thursday after a sickness of several years.

Mr. Warden was born in Sangamon county, Illinois, in 1850, and had attained the age of 64 years at the time of his passing. He spent his youthful years in Texas working on the ranges there. He later returned to Illinois where he married and to this union two daughters and one son were born. Following the death of his first wife he moved to Nebraska and married again. To this marriage one daughter, Mabelle, was born. While living in Nebraska, Warden served as sheriff of Thurston county for two years. He later moved to Iowa and engaged in farming.

Burial was made in Adaville cemetery with Luken’s in charge of the funeral arrangements.
