Gregory C. Young, 27

Gregory Charles Young, age 27, while in the loving care of his family on Monday, Oct. 31, 1994, was called to the light to share everlasting peace with the loved ones who have gone on before him.

Greg joined his maternal grandfather, step-grandfather, paternal grandparents and half-sister, Stephanie, who were called before him.

He graduated from Harlem High School in 1985, and was employed several years by Woodward Governor Co. Greg loved tumbling and once appeared with his sister in the Nutcracker Suite Ballet. He was also very talented in ceramics.

Greg left behind his parents, Linda and Chuck Young; sister, Danielle K. Young of Loves Park; very special friend, Kenneth Wengert of Rockford; half-brother, Bradley A. Young of California; maternal grandmother, Esther Ryan; aunt, Kay Clark; cousins, Kimberly and Joe Olander, Wendy and Christopher Clark, all of Florida; uncle, Jerry Clark of Shirland; nephew, Jay Osterhaus of Minnesota; many close friends; and his devoted cat, Bo.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, in DELEHANTY FUNERAL HOME LTD., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Interment will take place in Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial to AIDS Care Network and Northern Illinois Hospice will be accepted.
